Reginald The Vampire Review

Reginald The Vampire is an extremely fun campy show that will remind you why we love Jacob Batalon so much. He’s a very charismatic actor and plays well with innocent characters. I’m also a big Vampire genre fan, I was excited for Jacob when this was announced. However, while Syfy has been getting better with its content, there’s always some sort of caustic optimism when it comes to the channel. I remember when it was awfully painful in the ‘90s for Syfy back when it was Sci-Fi.

Now we’re back to Reginald The Vampire that has great characters all around is the best replacement I’ve found so far for Supernatural which had the same kind of campy ‘80s vibes to the genre, though, it is still modernized. Mandela Van Peebles is a revelation as Maurice Miller and the backstory to his character is a strong point in the script for this series so far.

Emily Haine as Sarah Kinney is also fantastic to watch, she brings such energy and joy to her character it’s fun to watch her in each episode. While the series itself doesn’t brake new grounds, however, it’s a fun watch for Vampire fans. I hope it gets a second season.
