The Nun 2 announced during WB’s panel at Cinemacon

Back in 2018, we got one of the biggest critical and received flops in The Conjuring Universe in ‘The Nun’. However after four years of waiting on a sequel or another spin-off announcement. We finally got one for ‘The Nun’.

The Nun was originally written by Gary Dauberman and directed by Corin Hardy the movie was met with an abysmal 24% on Rotten Tomatoes to put that into perspective the infamous movie ‘The Room’ has a 26% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s a huge risk and a bigger surprise that WB announced a sequel to ‘The Nun’.

Original Synopsis for The Nun:

When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together, they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun

Malignant screenwriter Akela Cooper is set on board to write the upcoming sequel, along with having a new director in Michael Chaves.
