Texas Chainsaw Massacre(2022) Review [ A Solid Legacy Sequel]

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is back in 2022, this time it finally takes itself seriously again, in a franchise that has already seen a couple remakes or reboots or now what Hollywood is calling a legacy sequel. It’s nice to see a Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie drop the campiness of what it became after The Next Generation.

We see this feature pick up acknowledging the previous of the first TCM on the news channel that is playing in the gas station, again, it is cool to see the film now what it is here. As well as taking things in a gruesome and bleak turn rather quickly this time. As it does not reinvent the wheel at all for the franchise it is among the second tier of TCM films.

It is refreshing to see a diverse cast here as well all shine, even if it does feel like some of them are just written to get point a to point b when it comes to the kill count, which is high in this installment, it was a great move on Legendary’s part moving it to Netflix as some people are still not comfortable going to cinemas, it will be a great way to make a date night at home.
