The Cursed Review [Best horror film of the year]

Every once in a while there comes a horror film that breathes a breath of fresh air into the sun genre. That sub genre is Werewolves, when you get a film like The Cursed, it’s a great way to feed people vegetables with their deserts, as they center around a monster movie it is so much more, including a riveting family drama with a fierce Kelly Reilly(TV’s Yellowstone) and Alistair Petrie.

One performance that demands to be seen amongst them all is Boyd Holbrook as John McBride, he commands the screen in every scene he is in and has some epic moments against the monsters in the film as well. As he told me in our interview they were incredible with the visuals in The Cursed, and it’s a strong suit of the film, where some movies get overwhelmed with unwanted CGI that tarnish the finished product.

The Cursed thankfully avoids that unwanted CGI issue so many horror films now struggle with. Once called Eight For Silver during its Sundance run last year when it took the Internet by storm, now it’s time to see it in theaters with a packed house and see the hype train for yourself, because it’s all real, it’s the best werewolf film in decades and the best horror film of the year.
