Doom Patrol Review: No Time to wait for action this season [episodes 1-5]

It does seem weird for Infamous Horrors to start covering comic book stuff, as we try to expand our coverage we are looking at the darker adaptations of comic books. Doom Patrol is the perfect fit for Infamous Horrors to cover due to the wackiness of the series.

The characters are all back this time around! Brendan Fraser owes a lot to Doom Patrol in my opinion, for reinforcing his career as a lovable outcast. Cliff has to be written specifically for Brendan as he crushes every line of dialogue and uses every ounce of his soul to deliver it with innocence and command.

Cyborg is also a step up in the story line so far this season’s sub plot this year is in huge debt due to the Snyder Cut- now I know we have many Snyder Cut to thank for our new found appreciation for Cyborg and Doom Patrol this season is no exception. Joivan Wade brings a lot of heart and soul to his character.

The great thing about this season of Doom Patrol is that we don’t have to wait for the action and jokes to begin, it comes in spades quickly and furiously. Episodes 1-5 have been solid.

Overall grade: 3.5/4 stars
