Episode 9 of this seasons Titans, is everything I love about Detective Comics adaptations. It’s dark, gritty, and grimy. All in black and white as well giving us a neo noire look for the episode.
The episode follows Hawk alongside with multiple characters we thought would be gone forever, however, if you know your comics are characters really gone for good? What I love about Alan Ritchson here in titans is his grounded approach is much more different than Thad Castle in Blue Mountain State.
Alan makes Hawk work as a beloved character in titans even if it’s more of a raw-raw vibe you get from him you would follow his character into battle. Jason Todd last we saw him with Hawk put a bomb to his chest ala like ‘30 Minutes Or Less’ it was a heartbreaking episode to see Hawk go out like that.
My only complaint for season three so far is that for a show that got hype from its teaser trailer for season 1 saying “F___ Batman” there’s a helluva lot of Bruce Wayne in this season, making him a distraction from the Titans.
Donna his also a highlight for episode 9 of titans I’m excited for the rest of the season to unfold.
