Rather you’re into their music or not you know who the Insane Clown Posse are. Their personalities and music transcends from its own genre to pop culture of infamy, the new documentary titled ‘United States of Insanity’ takes you down the road of the Insane Clown Posse’s battle with the FBI and their efforts to get Juggalo’s taken off the gang list of the FBI.
Tom Putnam the director of this fantastic documentary had the task of following Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope around for seven long years and has witnessed the trials and tribulations of what it means for a group of fans that cannot get jobs and are profiled just by wearing a piece of clothing with the bands image.
This is definitely not what you would call a fluff piece, there’s so many gut punches thrown at you throughout the documentary it makes it hard to believe this can happen to a fan base. I myself am a juggalo from back in the high school days, so I wonder if the FBI reads this will this glowing review put me on a list?
However, there are members that I know do not make Violent J and Shaggy proud for doing dumb things and I can only imagine them saying “Not this stuff again”. This documentary is much more than for the Juggalo’s if you’re not a fan of this music but you wonder how this could happen, check it out. Which fan base can it happen to next?
