Synopsis: ynopsis: For more than 10 years, Russian police forces have tried to stop the country’s smartest and most wanted serial killer. But even when he gets caught, nobody can prove his guilt. As the manhunt intensifies, the investigation grows increasingly personal between the detective and the suspect.
Review: Now and then there comes a movie that’s in the vein of classic movies like ‘Silence of The Lambs’ and ‘Memories of Murder’ it ends sticking with you for a long time The Execution is that movie, that will come out of this year’s Fantastic Fest and have a substantial impact on audiences.
The tension from director Lado Kvataniya is a masterclass, it starts from the opening sequence and never lets go. While my only criticism of the film maybe some of the acts seem to be longer than they should be. However, the acting keeps most of the issues subdued.
Fans of detective films will have a great viewing experience with ‘The Execution’ it has multiple viewing power and powerful scenes that will stick with you for days.
Overall grade: 5/5 stars
