The Tomorrow War review

The Tomorrow War is an epic new original science fiction thriller from Amazon Studios starring Chris Pratt, in which may be his finest role to date in his elaborate film career so far. He definitely has came a long way from Take Me Home Tonight. The tomorrow war focus’ on A man is drafted to fight in a future war where the fate of humanity relies on his ability to confront his past.

Chris McKay and Chris Pratt the executive producer did an excellent job putting input on the casting decisions and one standout is Sam Richardson( Promising Young Woman, Werewolves Within) is stunning as Gator the nerd and sometime comic relief.

The other breakout star of The Tomorrow War is Yvonne Strahovski as Vicki is incredible adversary to Chris Pratt in the movie making them a likable on screen duo and J.K. Simmons is perfectly cast as Pratt’s estranged father. It is the typical J.K. Simmons role but it’s one he does so well. Adding Mary Lynn Rajskub( It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) in a nice little cameo.

Edwin Hodge as Dorian is a well written character that a lot of genre fans are going to love that ends up having a redeemable attribute to him is a warm welcome. Zach Dean deserves a lot of credit writing the screenplay for The Tomorrow War because of how much this movie ends up packing an emotional punch that will surprise many of its viewers and it’s rewatchablitiy is incredible. It’s what big screens are made for.
