A Terrifying and Unsettling PSA- George A. Romero’s The Amusement Park review

George A. Romero’s lost “film” has finally surfaced above the grave it was living in and for better or worse we have another George A. Romero film to watch even though.

Lets be clear it Is more of PSA rather than a film with an arc or a character driven details and its about anti-aging. It is such a unique thing to watch for sure, it took to times to fully get it. At first, I was expecting a short film rather than a PSA and after I watched it after what I knew of The Amusement Park it is a great “film” PSA.

A Bleak look at being old

Everyone involved in the film/PSA are volunteers it does not have any professional actors in it which is interesting, watching what George was able to accomplish.  The cast is impressive in what they give the audience enough to chew on and is admirable. Talking about the subject of the PSA and the anti-aging thing it is terrifying and nerve wracking to see how the elders are respected and remember kids this will be all of us one day struggling to get by in our old age.

Overall, The Amusement Park is another terrifying and unsettling ride by George A. Romero and may rank among his best outside of the Dead films he is beloved for.

Overall grade: 4/5 stars
