Jakob’s Wife review

Bodies start to pile up when a woman discovers a new sense of power and an appetite to live bigger and bolder than ever before.

Jakob’s Wife is a stellar new film starting the lovely Barbara Crampton and Bonnie Aarons. It’s an interesting spin on the vampire story that has its moments in the past few years, especially outshining zombie movies as of late. The plot in Jakob’s Wife could be considered its weakest link.

However, the casts performances will keep your head above water. Especially Barbara Crampton never fails to amaze and give her all in horror roles. We also have some interesting choices that pay off including CM Punk who has been in a slew of recent indie hits and keeps delivering.

Larry Fessenden was freaking awesome in his role! He really needs to be looked at more by bigger studios for directing and starring in horror movies.

Overall grade: 4/5 stars
