Five dangerous patients, suffering from extreme phobias at a government testing facility, are put to the ultimate test under the supervision of a crazed doctor and his quest to weaponize fear.
Modern anthologies are such a hard feet to accomplish, especially now in today’s climate, where everything is so PC it’s hard to really tackle tough subjects without someone getting in a bind. However, Phobias is an OK anthology with some better than average acting from its stars.
Leonardo Nam is absolutely fantastic as Nam and aside from Macy Gray and Steve Park he is real highlight to show in Phobias and is absolutely astounding to watch tear up the screen.
The screenplay itself isn’t mind blowing and is just the typical formulaic plot device for an anthology. It has its moments sure, however it feels like the pacing just drags and drags. Never finding it’s stride.
Overall grade: 2/5 stars
