Sator review

Secluded in a desolate forest, a broken family is observed by the demon Sator who is attempting to claim them.

Sator is an interesting style of filmmaking that will remind you of experimental films like “Dark Star” where the narrative isn’t all there and totally doesn’t make much sense but however the moody atmosphere and scenery really shines.

Jordan Graham does a formidable job with the amount of duties on Sator it’s really amazing how much he put into it. Being the director, writer, producer, and composer. That itself is really something special as the score also is extremely eerie.

Sator is one of those films you may have to lower expectations a tad just so you’re not expecting a masterpiece in independent horror, as it does however shows a lot of promise from its filmmaker the narrative just never really hits home and the pacing is also dreadfully slow.

Overall grade: 2/5 stars
