Reunion 2021 review

A pregnant woman returns to her recently deceased grandparents’ old family home to spend time with her estranged mother. What begins as a tenuous reunion slowly turns terrifying.

Reunion is one of those movies that’ll blow a lot of people away upon it’s initial release with a powerhouse lead performance from The Walking Dead’s Julia Ormand. The powerful use of dark scenery in the house of Reunion is exquisite, and it needs to be seen in the dark with no distractions to be fully appreciated.

Jake Mahaffy does such a magnificent job creating the tension it’s so thick you can cut it with a knife. This is a lot like films like Hereditary, with its technique in the genre. It doesn’t have a runtime that’ll scare most people with it being a reasonable 90 minutes.

In conclusion I do believe Reunion will have a huge following among the home release as people can watch it in their own atmosphere they chose comfortable for them. You should easily have a fun time with Reunion.
