Heavens Gate(HBO Max) Review

Heavens Gate is a hefty true crime documentary to watch, it took me so long to review it because I didn’t exactly know how to review it. It’s just so heavy in its nature and what goes on within the cult. It’s definitely mesmerizing to watch and such a unique experience.

The amount of stuff that goes through the cult is surreal and will upset a lot of people, especially people that have dealt with depression and suicidal thoughts, in all fairness HBO Max does a nice with a trigger warning here.

The leader of the cult will hypnotize just about anyone that listens and that’s Uber scary to watch on screen and the directing of the miniseries true crime documentary is some of the best I’ve seen in a documentary form like this. It felt like a Hollywood movie watching it all unfold.

I understand that cults will always be a touchy subject matter to most people out there in the world, however, if you’re looking for a great documentary to watch. This is it. HBO Max hits another home run with Heavens Gate.
