Archenemy Review

Archenemy should’ve been a home run on paper, but that’s why we review the movies. The acting was pretty badass in Archenemy and so was the directing. I had major complaints about the dialogue in Archenemy almost being as cringe-worthy as Darkman. One of the major scene stealers here is Glenn Howerton from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and The Strangers.

Joe Manganiello gives his typical performance, so if you’re on his bandwagon already, you’ll have fun with this flick, but if you think his acting can be a bit stale and wooden, this isn’t going to change your mind. If you’re searching for new superhero movies this year to stream or watch, check out Power on Netflix instead. Or even watch the fantastic The Boys on Amazon Prime.

There’s just something that doesn’t mesh well with Archenemy, I believe it’s the script is uneven and drags a bit with what it wants to be. The grittiness of Archenemy can be appreciated to an extent, but even Super and Defendor are a much better experience to watch than Archenemy.
