Jeff Nichols set to direct A Quiet Place 3

While it sounds rather premature to announce this in a batshit crazy year with COVID taking over the theaters around the globe and A Quiet Place 2 still yet to see the light of day. Paramount has announced its plan to have Jeff Nichols the director of Mud and Midnight Special to take over for John Krasinksi.

Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller will produce via Platinum Dunes alongside Krasinski via his Sunday Night banner with partner, Allyson Seeger, who serves as executive producer. It will be interesting to see where they take the franchise, everything happened so quickly in the first one, it seemed like we could have multiple prequels or spin-offs on how it all happened. I don’t think this franchise is going to end anytime soon.

While I was blown away by A Quiet Place and thought it was a breath of fresh air in the genre which has been dead for quite some time and filled with nothing but teen screams of jump scares… A Quiet Place was rather smart in my opinion, I noticed however, that it was met with mixed reception in the horror community. So what do you all think? Are you up for a third one or just want it to be over with already?
