Sputnik Review

Sputnik is a science fiction film unlike any other… If you enjoyed Underwater this year than Sputnik is the film for you to seek out this weekend now available on-demand. The tension is so thick it will make your head spin, this is truly what it would be like is H.P. Lovecraft had a lovechild with Alien.

Sputnik is Lovecraft’s love child with Alien

The atmosphere is very moody and for almost nearly two-hour-long it goes swiftly by like it was only 80 minutes long. It gets underneath your skin and never sets you free, even long after the credit rolls. I would place this up there with Annihilation with recent great science fiction films.

Oksana Aleksandrovna Akinshina gives an all-time science fiction performance that would be comparable to Agent Ripley’s. It will satisfy many hardcore science fiction and horror fans watching her dominating the screen in Sputnik which is truly a performance you won’t soon forget.
