Bay of Silence Review

Bay of Silence, is a surprisingly groovy thriller starring a phenomenal Olga Kurylenko. Who finally has a role she can really grasp and knocks it out of the park. Olga has been in the ultimate misfire for Shudder in The Room, however, she really bounces back and gives the performance of her career thus far.

The atmosphere is really moody and those that follow this site know that is right up my alley. There is hardly any jump scares in Bay of Silence and I’m glad it has a similar vibe to the terrific Apple TV+ tv-series Servant. Also reminiscent of older films like the original British film The Woman in Black

I was really gushing over the production design of the movie and the beautiful scenery. Also, the supporting players like Brian Cox are an absolute blast to watch. Including a formidable Claes Bang who gives a breakout performance standing toe-to-toe with Brian Cox is just incredible to watch throughout the film.

Overall this is a solid VOD and ”in theater” flick to rent or buy when it is released Friday, August the 14th. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
