Lionsgate pulls three May releases including ‘Spiral: From The Book of Saw’

The highly anticipated re-imagining of the Saw franchise starring Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson has been pulled off the box office calendar indefinitely after the virus outbreak has no sign of slowing down.

The other genre releases included Aneesh Chaganty(Searching) RUN which was scheduled for a May 8th. Also the unique looking Antebellum which was the lone April release (April 24th) also a Blumhouse production so who knows if that one will follow what his Universal films are doing and have a 48 rental window.

I personally was looking forward to Spiral from the book of Saw the most out of these the trailer really grew on me and I am interested in what Chris Rock and company does with this take.

No news on future release dates but we will keep you posted on when the news makes it way online. Till then we hope a solution to Covid-19 happens rather sooner than later.

A Quiet Place: Part II’, ‘The New Mutants‘, & ‘Anthlers‘ were the first horror films to see their release date removed (or moved) from the calendar.
