Blumhouse releases it’s the official trailer for The Invisible Man just under 3 weeks before the release. It’s more of the same as for as the voltage is shown goes. The updated version of The Invisible Man is written, directed and executive produced by Leigh Whannell, one of the original conceivers of the Saw franchise who most recently directed Upgrade and Insidious: Chapter 3.
In my opinion, the teaser trailer is much more solid and it didn’t need another trailer with just three weeks to go, but hey Blumhouse has Fantasy Island coming out this Valentine’s Day, so they could be attaching it to those showings.
Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, Cecilia Kass (Elisabeth Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid).
But when Cecilia’s abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turn lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.
The Invisible Man hits Dolby Cinema, IMAX and theaters February 28th, 2020.
