‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ reboot finds a writer

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is getting a whole new makeover in a reboot from the filmmaker of Evil Dead(reboot) and Don’t Breathe Fede Alvarez. Now we know who will be penning the screenplay for the reboot, Chris Thomas Devlin.

This is Devlin’s first go around on a screenplay so this will be interesting to see how this pans out for the studio.

As if you are not familiar with the original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre this is the plot.

Sally (Marilyn Burns) hears that her grandfather’s grave may have been vandalized, she and her paraplegic brother, Franklin (Paul A. Partain), set out with their friends to investigate. After a detour to their family’s old farmhouse, they discover a group of crazed, murderous outcasts living next door. As the group is attacked one by one by the chainsaw-wielding Leatherface (Gunnar Hansen), who wears a mask of human skin, the survivors must do everything they can to escape.
