[Review] Darlin’ is the next great horror film from Dark Sky Films

Darlin’ is the next great horror film from Dark Sky Films and POLLYANNA MCINTOSH who was The Woman in 2011’s The Woman.

The films synopsis is as follows.

Found at a Catholic hospital filthy and ferocious, feral teenager Darlin’ is whisked off to a care home run by The Bishop and his obedient nuns where she is to be tamed into a “good girl” as an example of the miracle of the church. However, Darlin’ holds a secret darker than the “sins” she is threatened with, and she is not traveling alone. The Woman, equally fierce and feral, who raised her is ever present and is determined to come for her no matter who tries to step in her way.

This film is so freaking great I can’t wait for people to start seeing it. It made a splash in the Cinepocalypse film festival. This movie has a lot to unpack with its social commentary that would make George A Romero proud. It may be a lot for some viewers to take it all at once but stick with it. It’s worth it for those who stay.
