Paul Rudd joins the cast of the upcoming Ghostbusters

Paul Rudd is a really funny guy when the script allows him to be. Sometimes he’s the only highlight in independent comedies. I’m excited to see him join the Ghostbusters film.

Rudd will be playing a teacher in the film. Director Jason Reitman said: “I’ve been wanting to work with Paul Rudd since my short film opened for Wet Hot American Summer at Sundance. I’m thrilled he’ll be joining this new chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe.”

12-year-old Mckenna Grace (Captain Marvel, Annbelle Comes Home) will star in Ghostbusters 2020, with Carrie Coon (The Leftovers) playing her mother. Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things, IT) will also star. Sigourney Weaver recently confirmed that she and the original cast of Ghostbusters were coming back for the sequel. Annie Potts also announced that she would be reprising her role as the Ghostbusters’ secretary Janine Melnitz.

This film is sounding kind of stacked right now what do you think of the news?

Ghostbusters is set to hit theaters July 10th 2020.
