Jamie Lee Curtis is set to return in the sequel to David Gordon Green’s Halloween. Last years take on the infamous masked killer was met with with a mixed bag by fans and critics alike. I liked it much better upon a second viewing. First time around I’ll be honest I was a tad disappointed. According to Collider multiple sources have indicated that Blumhouse’s sequel will film this coming Fall, “and that Universal will likely release the horror movie on October 16, 2020.” So this can follow the blueprint of films like Paranormal Activity and Saw and be an annual thing around October which would be cool but I’d rather prefer quality over quantity. Deals haven’t been finalized yet but it seems the site also notes that Judy Greer and Andi Matichak are all expected to return as the Strode family. Blumhouse and Universal are planning an October 16th 2020 release.
