‘Saw’ reboot is coming by Chris Rock

Who would of though comedian superstar Chris Rock would be a Saw fanboy?

Not only is he a massive fan of the franchise but he is rebooting the story with Lionsgate and Darren Lynn Bousman involved with the directing duties he was at the helm for the first three sequels of the franchise. I think everyone can forget the lame attempt of a sequel a year or two ago. This new version is set to hit theaters October 23rd 2020 going to the roots of setting off October like in years past. It’s hard to believe the franchise has been going on since 2004 and is still going on

Speaking on Rock’s vision of the new film

“Chris wants to put his own spin on the Saw franchise in the way Eddie Murphy put a completely fresh perspective on buddy-cop films with 48 Hours. This new Saw is going to be an event film in the making for horror fans. It will have all of the twists and turns and hardcore layers that our fans expect directed by one of the masters of the craft, Darren Lynn Bousman. We can’t wait to get started,”

Said producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules

The original masterminds James Wan and Leigh Whannel will be handling the executive producer duties on the film.
