Now if you know the story behind Cannibal Holocaust you know the director was almost arrested for having his actors sign a waiver to not appear in another film for a year it was one of the first found footage movies of it’s kind.
So you know the shock value is completely there on the grindhouse release blu ray edition they even have an animal cruelty free version. If that’s not a trigger warning I don’t know what is. I have seen it a few times mainly to show friends who haven’t seen it. Other than the shock value theres not much else the score is good. Once Robert Kerman comes into the movie it grows from shock value to some real acting and it would have been a much better movie if it solely focused on his part in my opinion.
After the movie was released it inspired countless replicas including the most recent “The Green Inferno” Robert Kerman filmography features a few blink and miss cameos from Kevin Coster’s and Gene Hackman’s “No Way Out” and Sam Rami’s superhero classic “Spider-Man”.
