David Arquette is down for Scream 5

With all the reboots and late sequels David Arquette is down for Scream 5 and I think he’s in the majority now.

I haven’t seen Scream 4 yet though I believe it has Alison Brie so I need to get on that asap. I’m a huge fan on the original Wes Craven trilogy starring Neve Campbell. It was fun meta horror troupes which seemed to be the beginning of those parodies to come after like Scary Movie and Shriek! If you know what I did last Friday The 13th.

With The Weinstein Company in shambles it seems hard for a straight forward Scream 5 to happen but if another film company to reboot it like Jason Blum has expressed interest in maybe it can happen that way with a fresh take even Jay and Silent Bob Reboot movie is getting in on making fun of Hollywood’s recent trend of rebooting franchises Scream can get with that trend as well.

The original stated Neve Campbell Matthew Lillard Rose McGowan and David Arquette. Synopsis for the original was “Wes Craven re-invented and revitalised the slasher-horror genre with this modern horror classic, which manages to be funny, clever and scary, as a fright-masked knife maniac stalks high-school students in middle-class suburbia. Craven is happy to provide both tension and self-parody as the body count mounts – but the victims aren’t always the ones you’d expect.”
