The original is still streaming on Netflix. “The Boy,” which starred Lauren Cohan and Rupert Evans, was produced for under $15 million and grossed $68 million worldwide. This announcement comes as no surprise as “The Boy” was a sleeper hit for STX entertainment which is looking for a franchise and seemed to miss out on Mile 22 and The Happytime Murders this year.
