Tom Hardy was recently asked about his favorite moments in his upcoming film VENOM. To our our surprise, he revealed that not only are his favorite scenes not in the movie, but 30-40 minutes of the film ended up on the cutting room floor.
After being asked about his favorite moment in the upcoming Marvel adaptation he replied:
“Things that aren’t in this movie. There are like 30 to 40 minutes worth of scenes that aren’t in this movie… all of them. Mad puppeteering scenes, dark comedy scenes. You know what I mean? They just never made it in.”
Dialing down the comedy isn’t always a bad thing and I’m sure the darker stuff had to be toned down to make the PG-13 rating as well. Just hoping this isn’t one of those times that all the scenes we see in the trailer are cut from the film and the film turns out completely different than what we expected to see…eh…hem…SUICIDE SQUAD.
I’m sure when the Blu-ray comes out it will be full of deleted scenes or even possibly have an extended Rated-R cut. Venom is just days away from being released and with no Twitter reactions and the review embargo not lifting until Wednesday; we will just have to wait and see what Tom Hardy and Sony has in store for us.
