As The Weinstein Company is dealing with its aftermath and every project is in limbo pretty much and that leaves a lot of other options for films from dimension extreme like “Polaroid” starring our friend Javier Botet whom of which I had the honor of interviewing for his role in “Mara”.
Polaroid has been on the shelf for quite sometime I remember seeing a trailer in theaters a year or so ago. Netflix has saved a couple projects like The Cloverfield Paradox, Before I Wake and Extinction. Word is coming out that they are trying to get the distribution rights to Polaroid. It seems like a perfect fit horror and Netflix at home.
Nothing sounds better to me. Written by Blair Butler (HELL FEST) and starring Kathryn Prescott, Tyler Young, Grace Zabriskie,
and Mitch Pileggi, the film follows High school loner Bird Fitcher, who has no idea what dark secrets are tied to the mysterious vintage Polaroid camera she stumbles upon. But it doesn’t take long to discover that those who have their picture taken meet a tragic end. the film is also directed by the upcoming Childs Play remake director.
