Here is the first set photo of The Losers’ Club all grown up and walking down the streets of Port Hope, Ontario which will probably end up being turned into a street in the fictional town of Derry, Maine for Andy Muschietti’s It Chapter Two.
The photo features all of the adult cast members of The Losers’ Club which includes James McAvoy as Bill, Jessica Chastain as Beverly, Bill Hader as Richie, Jay Ryan as Ben, James Ransone as Eddie, and Isaiah Mustafa as Mike. The only one absent from the photo is Stanley played by Andy Bean, which if you’re familiar with the story you know why he is MIA and if you’re unfamiliar than don’t let no one spoil it.
From the set photo you can see that Richie, Bill Hader, is pointing at something down the street as the rest of the group looks onward. Who or what Richie is pointing at is mere speculation at this point because it could be nothing more than him pointing at the catering truck. And the whole gang is walking together to make sure they get the last of the churros because the last time the truck had them they missed out after specifically asking to be told when the churros were done. I don’t know. Pure speculation. Or it could be a red balloon tied to a mangled corpse. Who knows? Both are rather terrifying situations.
Bill Skarsgard terrified his younger cast members and audiences alike with his portrayal of Pennywise the dancing clown in 2016’s It and Andy Muschietti has urged fans to “bring your adult diapers” since his plans with the sequel are to be far more scarier and intense this time around. It Chapter Two is till more than a year away and as filming progresses there will no doubt be more set photos and official photos to come.
It Chapter 2 follows 2016’s It, which is based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name. Taking place 27 years after the Losers’Club first encounter with Pennywise, an entity that takes the form of a terrifying clown and preys on children, It Chapter 2 will center around the now grownup members of The Losers’ Club. As they’ve grown up, they have forgotten what happened in Derry. When bad things start to happen and kids begin to go missing again in Derry, Mike Hanlon, who stayed behind to keep watch over the town, calls upon his friends and reminds them of the promises they made to come back and stop It if It ever came back.
It Chapter Two is set to be release on September 6, 2019
