Every week, Friday, just can’t come soon enough.
This week I am anticipating Friday more than ever. Word around the campfire is that the first official trailer for Blumhouse’s Halloween is set to premiere this weekend.
In anticipation of the film, USA TODAY has debuted the first official stills from the film. And along with the stills we are also given a better idea of what to expect from the plot of the movie along with how Michael makes his escape in the first place.
“A British documentary crew comes to the States to visit Michael in prison for a retrospective of the maniac’s night of terror — but their project becomes way more interesting when Myers escapes custody, retrieves his signature mask and seeks revenge on Laurie, with others naturally being part of his impressive career body count along the way.”
Original Michael Myers, Nick Castle, will be returning to the role playing Michael Myers once again. This time with an aged, worn mask that looks like it has survived four decades.
Laurie Strode will once again find herself being stalked by Michael Myers. It has been said that some of the cannon from the previous films will be ignored so it’s hard to say if they will continue the story with Michael Myers being Laurie’s brother or not. Maybe the trailer will give a little more info when released. Laurie is also supposed to be prepared for Michaels arrival as if she has been training and waiting for the moment he would come back.
“In the first film she was running for her life,” says Curtis. “In this case, she is well-matched, she is prepared, she is focused. She will be the one people are standing behind when that moment comes, because she’s the one ready.”
The first images are incredible and will have to hold us over until the trailer debuts. Let us know what you think of the pics and what you hope to see in the film.
