We know that David is recently widowed and he’s been having a hard time connecting with his daughter. Sounds like a pretty basic formula. Then as he wakes up one morning to find Margot missing with a few missed FaceTime calls from the night before. He starts spiraling out of control contacting the school to see if she is there we find out the school doesn’t know where she is. He calls the cops to file a missing person report pleading and telling them she is not the type of girl to run away.
As he digs more into it he realizes the social media sites including live streaming services he never knew she used. It seems they just believe Margot runaway according to the detectives but as the case goes on it seems that something sinister has happened to Margot.
