Unfriended : Dark Web gets a release date

Unfriended is a 2014 horror film directed by Levan Gabriadze and written by Nelson Greaves. Its sequel is called “Dark Web”.

In the first movie, a group of online chat room friends find themselves haunted by a mysterious, supernatural force using the account of their dead friend.

The movie stars Heather Sossaman, Matthew Bohrer, Courtney Halverson, Shelley Hennig.

Unfriended: Dark Web has been secretely filmed and no one was expecting a second movie. The movie has been premiered at SXSW Festival.

On a Friday night, he dropped in on the midnight premiere of an untitled Blumhouse and Bazeles co-production and took selfies with festival-goers in the aisles before taking the stage to announce that the film, written and directed by newcomer Stephen Susco, is in fact a sequel to 2014’s Unfriended.

Unfriended was one of Blumhouse’s standard low-budget horror box-office coups, with a budget of $1 million and a global take of $64 million.

In Unfriended: Dark Web, a teen comes into possession of a new laptop and soon discovers that the previous owner is not only watching him, but will also do anything to get it back.

Betty Gabriel, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Stephanie Nogueras, Collin Woodell, Andrew Lees and Chelsea Alden stars in the sequel.

Unfriended : Dark Web opens in theaters July 20th.
